The Dental Faculty Practice at the Ohio State University College of Dentistry is committed to providing you with the best possible oral health care. Your clear understanding of our Financial Policy is important to our professional relationship.
Payment is due at the time service is rendered unless other arrangements have been made in advance with our Patient Financial Services Department. To find out more about our financial/payment policies, please take a moment to review our Financial Policy/Patient Financial Responsibility Form.
- Cash, personal checks, money orders, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover are accepted.
- Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending (FSA) benefit cards and checks are also accepted.
- Care Credit: For those patients who qualify and prefer to extend payments beyond the conclusion of treatment, we are pleased to offer Care Credit – the American Dental Association approved commercial revolving line of credit specifically designed for the payment of dental care. To learn more about this option, please visit carecredit.com or contact our Patient Financial Services Department for terms and conditions.
- Orthodontic Patients – Monthly payment contracts are offered for orthodontic treatment.
For those with insurance coverage, we will help you maximize your insurance benefits for covered procedures. Should you desire, a predetermination of insurance benefits will be provided to you prior to scheduling treatment. If you would like a predetermination of benefits, please discuss this with your provider and/or contact our Patient Financial Services Department.
Your deductible and/or any co-payment due will be collected prior to services rendered. As a courtesy, we will submit a claim to your insurance carrier for the services we provide to you. However, your insurance coverage is a contract between you, your employer and the insurance carrier. We consider you to be financially responsible for your account
